The Lemon Grove Parsonage Museum opened its doors in 1999 after herculean labor by volunteers to rescue the town’s first church (1897) and create the civic attic, the place where the treasures are stored, researched and displayed. Two floors of charming, informative exhibits are both permanent installations and revolving exhibits. Favorites include a recreation of the Sonka Store (1907-47), The Children’s Room
and Miller Dairy Remembered. The two-story Folk Victorian, including a free parking lot, is nestled in Treganza Heritage Park facing the 1928 Tudor Revival H. Lee House and its lovely Gazebo Courtyard, where archives are stored and social rentals are frequent. The Lemon Grove Historical Society saved both buildings and, with the City of Lemon Grove, created a notable cultural landscape
