Located in historic Balboa Park in the heart of San Diego, the Museum of Photographic Arts at The San Diego Museum of Art (MOPA@SDMA) offers an annual calendar of relevant, thought-provoking and engaging exhibitions, film festivals, and learning opportunities for all ages.
More than just photography, MOPA@SDMA seeks to inspire and empower audiences by promoting critical thought and cultivating the meaningful exchange of ideas. By teaching visual literacy through programs designed to engage and inspire audiences of all ages, MOPA@SDMA aims to expand visitors’ abilities to see, discuss, and create images with a critical perspective. MOPA@SDMA is open Thursdays through Sundays 11 a.m.– 5 p.m. in Balboa Park inside the Casa de Balboa building across from the Lily Pond.
