Caracol is a museum of and for the community that promotes the dissemination of science, recreation and family coexistence and the natural wonders of the place where we live. In addition to informing about the scientific work that studies Baja’s beautiful peninsula, the museum promotes conservation and care of the environment. Caracol’s museography is governed by three thematic axes of Baja California: the land, the sky and the sea, which are presented in its permanent exhibition spaces. The Museum features astronomical projections in a Dome and audiovisuals in the Auditorium. Caracol also hosts educational workshops with environmental and astronomical themes.
Glass is a major component of the Caracol’s construction, which permits interesting views from the warm corridors inside across the harbor and, looking east, to the Riviera and the hotel zone. Discover more and find ticketing information here.
