The IMAC is a paramunicipal entity of the Municipal Social Development Secretariat (DESOM), its purpose is to be a bridge between artists and Tijuana residents. As well as offering cultural spaces and activities for the enjoyment of citizens.
The Municipal Institute of Art and Culture is responsible for the 4 Houses of Culture, the Network of Municipal Libraries, as well as the Historical Archive of Tijuana (AHT), the Museum of Tijuana History (MuHTi) and the Galleries in their different spaces. The central offices are located in the Old Municipal Palace of the Central Zone between Second Street and Constitución.
