Kids Always Go Free to MUHTI Museo de Historia de Tijuana!
Located inside the historic Palacio de la Cultura in downtown Tijuana, the Museo de Historia de Tijuana (MUHTI) offers families an engaging look at how Tijuana grew from a rural border community into one of the most dynamic cities in the region.
The museum’s two-level exhibition space explores Tijuana’s history through archival photographs, historic artifacts, and interactive displays. Visitors can learn about the region’s indigenous roots, the city’s rapid growth during the Prohibition era, its development as a major tourism destination, and the cultural forces that helped shape modern Tijuana.
MUHTI also highlights the city’s rich musical heritage and its influence on rock, Latin music, and popular culture. For families, it is an educational stop that can be explored in about an hour and pairs easily with a visit to nearby Avenida Revolución and other downtown cultural attractions.
MUHTI is located at Calle Segunda s/n, Zona Centro, 22000 Tijuana, B.C., Mexico and is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Kids always receive FREE admission.
Disclaimer: Kids always receive FREE admission to MUHTI Museo de Historia de Tijuana. Children must be accompanied by an adult during the visit. Special programs, events, and separately ticketed experiences may not be included. Kids Free San Diego offers vary by participating partners.
