The Navy SEAL Museum San Diego Coming to a Location in Downtown San Diego
Former Museum of Contemporary Art Building in Downtown San Diego Will Immerse Visitors in the Experience of Navy SEALs Through Innovation, Interactivity, History
The Navy SEAL Museum San Diego (NSMSD) has signed a lease at 1001 Kettner Boulevard in Downtown San Diego to build a museum to honor the history and heritage of the U.S. Navy SEALs. This location was formerly utilized by the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego.
Scheduled to open in 2025, the 10,000-square-foot NSMSD will be within walking distance of the San Diego bayfront and serve as the preview of a larger, world-class museum to be built in the coming years. Read more…

THE VISITOR EXPERIENCE
Coming Late 2024 – The Navy SEAL Museum San Diego will inspire visitors with a unique view into the clandestine world of Navy SEALs. Guests will get an inside look into the rigorous and grueling training SEALs endure, with a new appreciation for what is asked of these warriors.
Interactive galleries will provide guests the opportunity to explore the sacrifice, service, and commitment of Navy SEALs. Through dynamic missions of their own creation using virtual and augmented reality, visitors will experience the exhilaration and intrigue of the Special Operations Forces world, immersed in history, inspired with an authentic understanding of the clandestine world of Navy SEALs and their predecessors.
Becoming a Navy SEAL takes determination, grit, adaptability, courage, focus, and fortitude. Visitors will be able to dive into the SEAL mindset and motivations, discovering relatable qualities they can apply to their own lives and challenges.
