Current & Upcoming Exhibitions
January 12, 2019 – May 5, 2019
Building Steam explores the origins of steam locomotives in Britain, who created them, and their spread from the United Kingdom to rest of the world! This exhibit also examines the introduction of the first public and modern railways, the railway mania that transpired, and the end of the steam locomotive era as diesel and electric locomotives became more popular.
Building Steam is made possible thanks to a generous donation of OO scale model English trains from the late Michael Ward, who was a life-long railroad and model train enthusiast, and his family.
