With over 27,000 square feet of tracks, trestles, and trains, the San Diego Model Railroad Museum is a world of wonder for kids and kids at heart. With six exhibits, the museum is one of the largest and the only accredited model railroad museum in the country.
The recent addition of the Centennial Railway Garden leads the way in new technology and sustainable exhibit design, while the Toy Train Gallery, filled with fancy lighting and fast trains, is sure to spark smiles. Living the Impossible commemorates the 100th anniversary of the completion of the San Diego & Arizona Railway. This exhibit features photographs, artifacts, and model trains retelling the stories of the people who persevered in building this impossible railroad.
