The San Diego Police Museum presents the history of San Diego’s police department. It has a wonderful collection of artifacts dating from the late 1800’s to the present. Vintage photos, badges, uniforms, clothing, police equipment, journals, letters, books… everything related to law enforcement in San Diego.
A couple of the highlights include the Wall of Valor, honoring officers who have given their lives in the line of duty and another wall celebrating lives saved throughout the years.
Helpful docents are available to answer questions, or you can take a self-guided tour. Photography is permitted, and there is a nice gift shop on premises, as well as onsite free parking.
