Kids Go Free to Tijuana Aquarium!
Located inside the Tijuana Cultural Center (CECUT), the Tijuana Aquarium (Acuario del CECUT) is the only aquarium of its kind in Baja California. This family friendly destination introduces visitors to the marine life and natural resources of the region, with species from the Pacific Ocean, the Gulf of California, freshwater habitats, and other parts of the world.
The aquarium is home to more than 500 specimens, including regional fish, Australian corals, jellyfish, freshwater turtles, and the endangered Mexican axolotl. Kids can get an up close look at aquatic life through exhibits designed to make learning about the seas surrounding the Baja California peninsula fun and engaging. One of the aquarium’s most popular experiences even lets visitors place part of their body inside a specially designed viewing area for the feeling of being surrounded by the aquarium.
While visiting, families can also explore the Gray Whale Marine Migrants exhibit and tour CECUT’s Botanical Garden.
The Tijuana Aquarium is located inside CECUT at Paseo de los Héroes 9350, Zona Urbana Río, 22010 Tijuana, B.C., Mexico and is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
